Abstract

The article depicts an importance and peculiarities of linguocultural competence, the notion of the concept «competence». Also, the interconnection between culture and language has been theoretically analyzed. In the article the author analyzes theories of scientists about linguoculturology and as well as discusses its pedagogical significance and pedagogic possibilities. The status of foreign language learning in modern developing society, significance of improving linguocultural competence, acquiring intercultural knowledge for students in higher educational institutions in Uzbekistan have been described.
