Hosting the 2018 FIFA world Cup in Russia caused a surge in interest inmen's football in the country; however, there was no increase in the popularity of women'sfootball. Based on this, it seems relevant to study the attitude of students to women's footballas potential parents of young athletes in order to create a program to promote this sport.The article analyzes the ideas about women's football of female students who are not directlyrelated to the sport. Based on the data obtained by the free Association method, a semantic differentialis developed, which shows that the attitude of girls to women's football is mainly influenced byemotional components.
