Abstract

This article discusses major changes in the agricultural sector in the Bukhara еmirate such as, preparation, transportation, reproducing, storage processing of raw cotton, participation of cotton growers in cotton growing, efforts to develop new lands,the increase in demand for cotton to the introduction of a mechanism to support private entrepreneurs and local investors through state banks, based on a comparative analysis of archival documents and historical literature in the end of XIX and first half of the XX centuries.
