This article provides didactic material for use in teaching the topic «Halogens». On the example of the article, we will consider the description of the natural resources of halogen elements in the Republic and the production of products from them. It is shown that this information is an important factor in improving the effectiveness of the lesson and educating students in the spirit of patriotism. The proposed methodology for teaching the topic «Halogens» is recommended in the 8th grade of school chemistry, academic lyceums, professional colleges and universities in the lessons «General and inorganic chemistry».
