Annotaciya

This article analyzes and summarizes the most common stereotypes regarding the indigenous peoples of Turkestan. The colonial policy of Russia in the conquered lands of Central Asia in the second half of the 19th century often resorted to propaganda clichés and stereotypes regarding the conquered peoples of Turkestan in order to justify its military aggression and turn the region into its colony. The study used the works of authors from the period of the Russian Empire and modern works in Russian and English.
