The article provides an understanding of traditional and nontraditional ways to generate electricity. In interdisciplinary technology education, students are given an opinion on the types of electricity generation and environmental problems that arise in connection with the generation of electricity in traditional and non-traditional ways, and measures to eliminate them. The competencies of rational and economical use of electricity, which are encountered in life and everyday activities, have been formed.
