Abstract
This article explores the main problems of using digital technologies in the preparation of students of Technical Higher Education Institutions for professional activities. On the basis of practical-oriented teaching technologies in foreign educational and scientific research institutions, scientific research has been carried out in our country on improving pedagogical mechanisms for the development of socio-role-playing positions of future engineers, developing competency models of training of bachelors and masters in the fields of technology, pedagogical design of an individual educational trajectory of professional formation of future engineers in Also, the advantages and disadvantages of using digital technologies in the training of future engineers are shown.
