Abstract
In this paper, based on the material of D. I. Rubina’s novels «Leonardo’s Handwriting» and «Petrushka Syndrome», an attempt is made to characterize the key motives and identify the features of their functioning in the context of novels. The author also examines the specific features of the realization of a brilliant personality. The results obtained allow us to conclude that the leading motives and a special type of hero become the keys to understanding the conflict in the analyzed novels.
