The independent existence of religious or belief communities is necessary to ensure pluralism in a democratic society and is an integral part of the protection afforded by freedom of religion or belief. This is directly related not only to the organization of these communities in this way, but also to the effective use of their right to freedom of religion by all their active members. If the institutional life of a community is not protected by freedom of religion or belief, then all other aspects of the individual rights of any person to manifest a religion are weakened. This article analyzes the activities of organizations and associations in countries around the world operating in this direction.
