Abstract

This article presents the author’s thoughts and opinions on the methods used in developing students’ reading skills. In particular, the types of reading and the opinions of scientists and methodologists about them were specifically discussed. Information about authentic materials important for reading development is given and categorized. Based on these materials, additional materials and lesson developments are offered for use in the lesson.
