Abstract
This article talks about important aspects of the work of one of the founders of the pictorial art of Uzbekistan, the master artist Alexander Vasilyevich Nikolaev (Usto Mumin), the complex creative process of the early 20th century, the role and significance of the Uzbek avant-garde in the fine arts.
