As linguistics as a science develops more and more, the increased interest in studying the relationship between the concepts of language and gender has created the need to consider terminological issues related to this science. How the use of the term gender, which is widely used in other fields, affects linguistics and what changes it causes not to have been escaped the attention of scientists. This article examines gender issues among paremiological units, which are one of the important layers of linguistics. The author tried to clarify this issue with the help of some examples.
