This article analyzes the causes of mental retardation, clinical features of disability, development defects, gametopathies, blastopathies, embryopathies and fetopathy. The theoretical characteristics of Down’s syndrome and its specific manifestations are summarized. The theory of the doctrine of mental retardation is discussed. Parents are given advice on how to prevent future disability.
