Abstract
In this article, issues of genre and form, classification of lyrical genres in world poetic systems were explained from a scientific and theoretical point of view.In modern Uzbek literature, there is a strong principle of a freer understanding of the meaning of the term «Poetry», striving to make new poetic discoveries by changing the previous formal patterns. That is why in Uzbek poetry, such forms of poetry as «white poetry», «sochma poetry», «prose poetry», «tasbih», «uchchanoq» are appearing. The article analyzes artistic image updates in genres and forms.
