Abstract

This article discusses the new challenges of digital reality – cybercrime. A new definition of this term was given. The importance of classification of cybercrime types is indicated. The characteristic qualities and causes of the growth of crime in the digital space are analyzed. The statistics of damage caused by hacker attacks are investigated. Effective methods and approaches implemented by the state to solve this problem are given.
