Abstract
This article examines the history of the study of monuments of Russian business writing, which are business documents of the Embassy Order of the XVII century about the Khiva Prince Avgan Muhammad. The monuments of ancient Russian writing, in particular, in the literatures of Prince Avgan Muhammad of Khiva, contain information about the history and culture of Central Asia and represent sources for linguistic research of the language of that time.
