Abstract

modern science is increasingly opening new horizons in understanding how the intestinal microbiota - the collection of microorganisms that inhabit our intestines - affects various aspects of human health. One of the most exciting and promising areas of research is the study of the relationship between microbiota and diabetes mellitus.
