Abstract
The article provides information on the concept of corporate internal consistency, which determines the choice of diversification strategy. The profitability indicators of industrial sectors, the economic effects of diversification and modernization of production on industrial competitiveness are analyzed. The following main problems affecting the level of competitiveness of real sector products have been identified.
