Сулетбаева, Элла
Abstract
This article discusses marriage readiness and the motives for entering into marriage. The family is a fundamental part of society, and its stability and strength largely depend on the level of readiness for marriage. The study analyzed the motives for marriage among the youth of Karakalpakstan. The results showed that for women, the main motives are love, the desire to have children, and the aspiration to make their partner happy, whereas for men, the most significant motives include physiological needs, love, and economic interest. The obtained data indicate the necessity of both individual and social approaches in preparing young people for family life.
