SABANTUY — THE NATIONAL HOLIDAY OF THE TATAR PEOPLE AND ITS CELEBRATION IN UZBEKISTAN

Abstract
This article explores the origins, historical roots, and modern forms of the ancient Tatar national holiday — Sabantuy. Special attention is paid to its celebration in Uzbekistan, particularly in the Khorezm region, where Sabantuy is held annually. The study analyzes historical, ethnographic, and cultural sources, as well as contemporary media materials. The author emphasizes the role of Sabantuy in strengthening interethnic harmony and preserving the cultural heritage of the Tatar people.
