Abstract
The article covers the state of the education system in the 1930s of the twentieth century, the condition of schools, the provision of schools with teaching and staff personnel, the situation of shortage of qualified specialist, as well as the negative impact of the measures carried out by the Soviet authorities to “cleanse” public education of “class enemies” and the manifestations of this impact on the education system.
