Abstract

This article presents a comparative-typological analysis of kinship terms in Turkic languages. The study examines the formation and development of kinship terminology based on common Turkic lexical heritage, phonetic and semantic transformations, and ethnolinguistic factors. Based on the Fergana dialect materials, variants of certain terms and their equivalents in other Turkic languages are comparatively analyzed.
