CHILD WISHING TRADITIONS IN THE MARRIAGE RITUALS OF UZBEKS OF KARAKALPAKSTAN

Abstract

This article examines traditional customs, superstitions, and traditions related to preventing childlessness in the wedding rituals of the Uzbeks of Karakalpakstan. The role of wedding rites in the life of the Uzbek people, their educational significance, and their current state of preservation are also being studied. Regarding this issue, the scientific works of ethnographers, oral folk art samples, and field materials collected in the regions of Karakalpakstan where Uzbeks live were utilized.
