Annotatsiya

The article examines in detail the concept of correctional labor as a type of punishment that is not associated with the separation of the convicted person from society, as well as the concept and purpose of punishment in order to analyze this institution more broadly. The legal foundations of corrective labor specified in the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan are explained, historical sources are studied, the opinions of specialists in this field are analyzed in detail. Based on the results of the analysis and research, the author sets out his conclusions and developed the author's concept of correctional labor.
