ON THE MOST ANCIENT LITERARY-AESTHETIC VIEWS

Abstract
This article discusses the most ancient literary-aesthetic views, in particular, Greek literary-aesthetic views. The article analyzes the tragedy of Sophocles “Oedipus the King”. Particular attention is paid to the places in the work related to literary-aesthetic views, and some excerpts from the tragedy are also cited and analyzed.
