ANTI-CORRUPTION POLICIES IN UZBEKISTAN: RACE TO THE TOP IN THE INTERNATIONAL CORRUPTION PERCEPTION INDEX

Аннотация
Through many recent reforms, Uzbekistan is striving to better its ratings in global corruption indices. Fixing the endemic problems of corruption has been a priority for President Mirziyoyev’s administration to better the economy and society of Uzbekistan. However, problems with regional administrators, rule of law and institutional challenges have been an impediment to fully realizing this reform process. Following article discusses the ongoing anticorruption state policies and their affiliation level with positioning in Corruption Perception Index, institutional and legal challenges and further recommendations for enhancement of anticorruption state policy.
