THE ROLE OF MASS MEDIA IN COVERING URBANIZATION POLICY IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBALIZATION

This article analyzes the role of mass media in providing informational support for urbanization processes and shaping public opinion in the context of globalization. It reveals the responsibility of media institutions in covering reforms related to urban development, infrastructure modernization, and improving the quality of life of the population. The earliest theoretical views on public opinion are briefly examined through the works of Aristotle and Cicero. In addition, the ideas of Islam Karimov concerning mass media are interpreted as a methodological foundation of the study. The author substantiates the importance of openness, transparency, and journalistic responsibility in urbanization processes and proposes conclusions aimed at strengthening media activity.
