REPRESENTATION OF THE CONCEPT OF HOMELAND IN FOLK PROVERBS

Abstract
This article examines the linguistic and cognitive representation of the concept of Homeland in Uzbek folk proverbs. The study analyzes the semantic fields of the homeland concept, its role in the national mentality, and the ways of its metaphorical expression in proverbs. Lexical-semantic, cognitive, and linguocultural methods were employed in the research. The findings demonstrate that the concept of Homeland in Uzbek proverbs appears as a multilayered semantic structure and serves as a central concept expressing national identity, love for the native land, and patriotic ideas.
