THEORETICAL BASIS OF PHONETIC-PHОNOLOGICAL DOMINANCE AND MEANS OF EXPRESSION IN ERISTIC DISCOURSE

Abstract
This article examines the theoretical and pragmatic features of linguistic dominance at the phonetic-phonological level in eristic discourse. The study explores the role of phonetic-phonological devices, particularly intonation, voice volume, stress, speech rate, and pauses, in the construction of communicative superiority. It also investigates the potential of segmental and sociophonetic means in expressing dominance, as well as the functions of pronunciation and accent as indicators of social status. The article highlights the significance of phonetic-phonological devices in eristic discourse as instruments for influencing interlocutors, controlling communication, and demonstrating communicative power.
