PRAGMATIC ANALYSIS OF TWITTER-X AND INSTAGRAM SOCIAL MEDIA CONTEXTS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

This article examines the pragmatic features of discourse in Twitter-X and Instagram in English and Uzbek language contexts. Social media platforms have become important spaces for communication where language is shaped by brevity, interactivity, and emotional expression. The study focuses on how pragmatic meaning, such as speech acts, politeness strategies, irony, and stance-taking, is realized in posts and comments. The analysis shows that English and Uzbek users demonstrate both universal and culture-specific pragmatic patterns.
