The article examines the essence of national normative legal acts and international documents, including agreements, agreements and conventions, which serve as a regulatory framework for combating terrorism and extremism, which have become an urgent problem all over the world. Through the scientific analysis of normative legal acts and norms of international documents, the legal foundations of the fight against terrorism and extremism are classified and the regulation of legal relations at the local and state levels is based, depending on the territory.
