PRINCIPLES OF TOLERANCE AND RELIGIOUS HARMONY IN ISLAM

Аннотация
This article examines the principles of tolerance and religious harmony in Islam and analyzes their theoretical foundations and contemporary significance. The research employs a qualitative methodology using historical-comparative, descriptive, analytical, and content analysis methods. Based on the Qur’an, authentic Hadiths, and classical Islamic sources, the study explores the concepts of tolerance, justice, religious freedom, and interfaith dialogue. The findings demonstrate that tolerance and religious harmony constitute fundamental values of Islamic teachings and play a vital role in promoting peace, social stability, and universal human values. Furthermore, the article highlights the importance of authentic Islamic teachings in preventing religious extremism, strengthening interfaith cooperation, and fostering mutual respect and peaceful coexistence within modern multicultural societies.
