ON THE HISTORY OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE OIL-PROCESSING INDUSTRY AND TRADE IN CENTRAL ASIA (LATE 19TH — EARLY 20TH CENTURIES)

Аннотация
The article examines the historical prerequisites, conditions of formation, and main stages of development of the oil-extraction industry and trade in Central Asia in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It considers the impact of economic modernization processes in the region, including the development of transport infrastructure, primarily railway construction, on the establishment of industrial production and the expansion of trade and economic relations.The study analyzes the role of the oil-extraction industry as one of the key sectors of agricultural raw material processing, as well as its significance within the structure of the regional economy. The conclusion is drawn that this industry played an important role in the economic transformation of Central Asia during the period under review.
