Abstract
This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the socio-political and cultural processes that emerged in the Chaghaniyan oasis from the Early Middle Ages onward, examining the region’s geographical boundaries and its depiction in historical sources. Particular attention is given to the history of Chaghaniyan statehood, the role of its administrative centers, including Shuman and Vashgird, and the major historical events that took place within the region.
