CONSTITUTIONAL AND LEGAL BASES OF ENSURING THE ELECTORAL RIGHTS OF CITIZENS IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

Аннотация
This article examines the social relations developing in the sphere of the implementation of the current electoral law of the Republic of Uzbekistan during elections. The issues of ensuring the legitimacy of the current government through elections, which ensure that the population recognizes only those power structures that arose as a result of the elections, and voluntarily follows their instructions, are investigated. This study allows us to determine the ratio of various political forces in society, which means what a political force is capable of, what the population likes and whom it trusts. It is democratic elections that ensure a peaceful exchange of political power, political leadership, and politicians, which means that new forces will come to power, those who do not justify trust, members of representative bodies will leave the political arena, and new ones will replace them. It is democratic elections that ensure the sovereignty of the people, a democratic political regime and control over the political elite by the population.
