LEGAL FOUNDATIONS FOR ENSURING FREEDOM OF CONSCIENCE IN UZBEKISTAN

Abstract
In the context of Uzbekistan's integration into the global community, the formation of a highly developed culture of interconfessional dialogue acquires particular significance. A comprehensive study, revival, and further advancement of the progressive cultural and spiritual heritage of the Uzbek people under contemporary conditions, along with an in-depth analysis of the historical evolution of religious traditions existing in this region from ancient times to the present, facilitate a deeper comprehension of national history’, fostering patriotic consciousness and pride in one s homeland. Investigating the relationship between religion and law significantly contributes to strengthening the foundations of a democratic, rule-of-law state in the republic.
