Annotatsiya
The national-liberation movement in Turkestan against Soviet colonial rule represents a significant chapter in the history of Central Asia. This movement was driven by the desire of the indigenous peoples of the region to resist political oppression, economic exploitation, and cultural suppression imposed by the Soviet regime. The struggle for independence was marked by multiple uprisings, the formation of autonomous governments such as the Kokand Autonomy, and the resistance efforts of movements like the Basmachi rebellion. Despite facing immense military and political opposition, these movements laid the groundwork for future nationalist aspirations and played a crucial role in shaping the modern identity’ of the Central Asian nations. This study’ explores the historical context, key figures, and long-term implications of the Turke stan i resistance, shedding light on its legacy in the post-Soviet era.
