TThis article highlights the works and life path of the scholar Abu Hanifa (rh.), who lived in the eighth century and made a great contribution to the development of the science offiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) in the Muslim world, assisting in resolving controversial jurisprudential and theological issues through his ijtihad (independent reasoning). Solutions to a number of modern religious issues are found by taking his views into account. Furthermore, the scholarly experience of this jurist, the teacher-student relationship, and the scholar’s scientific views are presented as an example for modern youth.
