THE HERO‘S JOURNEY IN THE EPIC “GOROGHLI'S ACQUISITION OF GHIRAT”

Abstract
This article analyzes the motif of the journey in “The Arrival of G‘irot” a poem from the Uzbek heroic epic cycle “Gorogly”. The research examines the formation of the hero, his mythological and social evolution, and the process of acquiring his winged tulpar (steed) — G‘irot, based on the principles of “initiation”. The journey motif is evaluated as the primary factor driving the epic's plot.
