This article provides a scientific analysis of the genre diversity of the 20th-century English realist novel, its typological features, and its dramatic-aesthetic nature. The study examines the opposition between realism and modernism, as well as the artistic representation of the relationship between the individual and society. Particular attention is given to the synthesis of tragedy and satire, the formation of dramatic conflicts, and the evolution of the modern novel.
