The article explores the historical development of trade in the Syrdarya Region within the Turkestan Territory during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It focuses on the region's agricultural specialization, the role of the irrigation system in generating surplus products, and the establishment of interregional trade networks. The study examines internal and external markets, the structure of trade flows, the impact of demand on agricultural production, and the relationship between trade and the region's economic development. Special attention is given to the fishing and salt industries, their role in commodity exchange, and the challenges they faced due to transportation distance and limited infrastructure.
