Abstract
This study examines the life, intellectual formation, and political activity of Ibn Khaldun, one of the most prominent thinkers of the fourteenth century. It explores his descent from an influential family associated with al-Andalus and analyzes the role of his family environment and early education in shaping his worldview. Particular attention is given to his studies of the Qur’an, Hadith, tafsir, Islamic jurisprudence, Arabic language, grammar, rhetoric, and literature as the theoretical foundation of his later scholarly activity.
