Annotaciya
The article examines the geological origin, geomorphological evolution, and spatial characteristics of the lower Syr Darya basin. It analyzes the river's hydrological course from the Fergana Valley to the Aral Sea region, along with the historical-geographical significance of its ancient channels — Eski Daryaliq, Inkordarya, Jonadarya, and Quvondarya. Based on scholarly sources, Cenozoic tectonic processes, the delta's role in sustaining ancient human populations, and its contribution to the Aral Sea formation are substantiated.
