CULTURAL SPECIFICITY OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS EXPRESSING EMOTIONS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK

Abstract
The article analyzes linguocultural features of phraseological units expressing emotions in English and Uzbek. Phraseological units are interpreted as linguistic signs that reflect collective emotional experience, value orientations, cultural stereotypes and norms of communicative behavior. The study systematizes 36 emotional phraseological units in English and Uzbek according to cultural code, source image and translation equivalence criteria.
