Annotatsiya
The article analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of developing productive speech skills (speaking and writing) based on the transformative learning approach. The linguodidactic essence of productive speech skills is examined in comparison with receptive skills, and J. Mezirow’s theory of transformative learning together with its five-phase model (dizoriyenting dilemma, critical reflection, rational discourse, new perspective, action) is adapted to the context of productive speech activity. The theoretical connection between the two concepts is substantiated and illustrated with practical examples.
