PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION ALGORITHMS IN ENSURING INFORMATION SECURITY

This article analyzes the importance of biometric authentication technologies in ensuring information security and the relevance of facial recognition methods. The study focuses on the approach to face recognition based on the Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LBPH) algorithm. The article describes in detail the theoretical foundations of the algorithm, the process of face recognition by extracting local texture features in a facial image, dividing the image into blocks, forming histograms for each block and comparing them. Also, the low computational complexity of the LBPH algorithm, the ability to work in real time, and low requirements for hardware resources ensure its effective use in information security systems. During the study, the practical advantages of the algorithm, as well as its limitations due to changes in image quality, lighting conditions, and facial position, were evaluated. The results obtained show that the LBPH algorithm works effectively in small and medium-level information security systems and confirm that it is possible to increase the overall reliability of the system by integrating it with additional protection mechanisms.
