Abstract
The family is the main unit of society. In order to prevent crimes occurring in society, it is becoming increasingly urgent to eliminate crimes occurring within the family. In particular, the number of crimes of violence against women in the family is much higher than those committed against other family members or persons in close relationships, which has increased the need for this study. As a result of the study, the goal was to analyze the crime of domestic violence against women from a criminal perspective, as well as its differences and similarities from other crimes, and to develop practical proposals for applying appropriate punishment to the person who committed such an act based on foreign legislation and experience, and to introduce them into criminal legislation, in order to prevent domestic violence against women.
