Abstract
This article analyzes Alisher Navoi’s views on the essence of the human being, spiritual and moral perfection, and the paths to spiritual elevation within his Sufi-philosophical worldview. In his works, the human being is interpreted not as a mere biological creature, but as a spiritual being striving for perfection through self-knowledge, discipline of the nafs, acquisition of knowledge and enlightenment, as well as through goodness and love. In such works as “Nasoyim ul-Muhabbat”, “Lison ut-Tayr”, “Hayrat ul-Abror” and “Mahbub ul-Qulub”, particular attention is given to the humanistic essence of Sufism, the stages of the tariqa, and the concepts of love, spiritual knowledge, patience, repentance, contentment, reliance on God, and purification of the nafs.
