Abduvahidov, Abdulaziz, Abduvahidov, Abdulaziz
Abstract
This article examines the significance of enlightenment, education, and upbringing in preventing extremism and the spread of radical ideas in the context of globalization and digital transformation. It explores the role of enlightenment in developing individualsʼ abilities for independent thinking, critical reasoning, objective assessment of information sources, moral responsibility, and tolerance. The article substantiates the argument that enlightenment should be regarded not merely as a means of providing individuals with information, but as a long-term factor in shaping individuals who are capable of thinking independently, drawing evidence-based conclusions, and demonstrating respect for diverse views and perspectives. Particular attention is paid to the potential of education and upbringing in developing a resilient worldview and intellectual culture as important factors in preventing extremist and radical ideas.
