The specified article analyzes the theoretical aspects of legal regulation of the concept of the subject of crimes in the field of ecology. It is noted that the circle of special subjects of crimes in the field of ecology is quite wide, and special subjects of environmental crimes may be officials, as well as individuals with certain professions or engaged in specific activities. It is emphasized that in order to correctly determine whether a person is a special subject of crimes in the field of ecology, it is necessary to define in detail the specific characteristics of their activities.
